Defender 8T Twin Wire Mesh Security Fencing
Defender 8T twin wire fencing, also known as 868 mesh, is a high-strength perimeter system for schools, commercial premises, industrial sites, car parks and sports facilities.
Featuring 8mm twin horizontal wires welded to 6mm vertical wires, it delivers exceptional rigidity, anti-climb and anti-cut resistance while maintaining clear sightlines for CCTV.
Twin wire fencing sits between V mesh and 358 in the security range. The paired horizontal wires make the panel far stiffer than single-wire mesh, so it resists being levered, bent back or pushed through, and the narrow 195 x 45mm aperture gives very little for a foot or a hand. For schools, that means a boundary that holds its line year after year and stands up to the everyday knocks a school fence takes. It is equally at home on industrial yards and plant compounds where the same strength is needed.
Available in heights from 1.0m to 5.0m, twin wire fencing also works as ball-stop fencing behind goals and courts, where panel rigidity matters as much as height. Supplied and fully installed by our own teams.

Panel aperture size: 195 x 45mm.
Panels and posts are galvanised then polyester powder coated; Green RAL 6005 and black RAL 9005 are the usual choices, with any RAL colour available to order on a longer lead time.
Available in a wide range of heights from 1.0m – 5.0m.
Matching Defender Mesh gates for pedestrian and vehicular access are available in 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.4m height options.
Twin wire fencing is also known as 868 mesh, referring to the 8mm horizontal wires either side of 6mm verticals.
Panels can be raked or stepped to follow sloping ground, decided at site survey.
Hot dip galvanised then polyester powder coated, requiring no maintenance beyond occasional cleaning.
For lower-cost boundaries where deterrence matters more than attack resistance, Defender V Mesh is usually the better specification.
For substations, data centres and sites with a genuine forced-entry risk, Defender 358 offers a higher level of protection.
Twin wire fencing offers better visibility and a less institutional appearance than palisade, which suits school and public-facing sites.
