The Brief
Kimberley Primary School required a full turnkey security upgrade to improve safeguarding, strengthen perimeter control and ensure compliant fire escape routes across the site. Existing gates and fencing required removal, replacement and reconfiguration to better manage movement while maintaining safe pedestrian access.
The school needed a contractor capable of delivering the entire project, from removal works to final installation, with minimal disruption.

The Solution
We delivered a complete turnkey package including:
Removal and disposal of existing double leaf and manual gates
Installation of new 2.0m high steel single leaf swing gates
Steel posts and frames with Defender 8T mesh cladding
Manual Push to Exit hardware with external key control
Padlockable slide latches for controlled access areas
Magnetic lock system with double sided proximity reader access
Reconfiguration of fencing to create a secure hall fire escape route
Removal of redundant timber fencing
Infill fencing to maintain boundary integrity
Each gate was selected and specified to balance safeguarding, durability and day to day practicality for staff and pupils.

Fire Escape Route Alteration
The hall escape route was redesigned to provide a secure path from hall doors to the reception side of the site through the car park. Fencing and gates were removed and reinstalled as required to create a compliant, protected route without compromising overall perimeter security.

Access Control Integration
The nursery gate installation included a maglock system with double-sided handles and proximity reader access control. This ensures authorised entry while maintaining safe egress, aligning with modern school safeguarding requirements.
