Project Overview

Secure-a-Field was brought in to improve pedestrian safety and site control across key access areas at Beaufort School. The existing timber post and rail fencing offered little in terms of security or guidance for foot traffic, particularly around vehicle zones.

The brief was to replace it with a durable, low-maintenance solution that clearly separates pedestrians from vehicles while maintaining a clean, professional finish across the school grounds.

Scope of Works

1. Removal & Disposal of Existing Timber Fencing
All timber post and rail fencing was dismantled and removed from site. Materials were disposed of responsibly, leaving clear, prepared areas ready for installation.

2. Installation of Pedestrian Guardrail System
We supplied and installed galvanised pedestrian guardrail panels (2m wide x 1.2m high) with 12mm round bar infill, designed for durability and consistent performance in high-traffic school environments.
All sections were fixed in 550mm concrete, ensuring long-term stability and resistance to movement or impact.

Installation Breakdown

Area 1 – Main Driveway

• 60 metres of pedestrian guardrail installed along the driveway
• 1.2m wide matching pedestrian gate included
• Gate secured with a padlockable slide latch for controlled access

Area 2 – Car Park

• 16 metres of guardrail installed to define pedestrian routes
• 1.2m wide matching pedestrian gate
• Padlockable slide latch for secure entry and exit

Area 3 – Reception Car Park

• 6 metres of guardrail installed to improve safety near reception
• Clean integration with surrounding layout
