Enhancing Safety with Pedestrian Guardrails at Kibworth CE Primary School

Project Overview

Kibworth CE Primary School, a well-respected and busy school in Leicestershire, required a robust and visually consistent solution to improve pedestrian safety across several key areas of their site. The team at Secure-a-Field were proud to deliver a comprehensive fencing installation, helping the school enhance both safety and site organisation for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Scope of Work

The project involved the supply and installation of over 120 metres of 1200mm high pedestrian guardrail, strategically placed to manage foot traffic and protect vulnerable areas:

• Driveway Access:
  60m of pedestrian guardrail installed (30m on each side) to clearly separate the pedestrian path from vehicle routes, improving safety at peak drop-off and pick-up times.

• Car Park Section:
  26m of guardrail added to shield walkways from moving vehicles and encourage safer movement across the car park.

• Tiger Club Front Fence:
  13.5m of pedestrian guardrail installed to provide a safe boundary outside the out-of-hours care facility.

• Early Years Play Area:
  22m of guardrail, including a 1200mm wide single-leaf pedestrian gate, offering secure yet accessible entry to a dedicated play area for younger pupils.
