Thurlaston Parish Council

Secure-a-field were tasked with designing, manufacturing and installing replacement fencing and gateway to protect the Thurlaston recreation ground from unwanted vehicles and trespassing.

Requirement

The recreation ground is managed by the Parish Council and includes a football pitch, play area and MUGA. The existing timber fencing and field gate was old and starting to fail with the concern being that either the fencing or gate could be easily removed allowing vehicle entry to the site.

Solution

Secure-a-Field supplied and installed a replacement heavy duty steel field gate with steel posts set back further from the roadside to allow maintenance vehicles to pull off the highway when attending the site. Our heavy-duty 16mm solid bar Bow-top railing was installed to either side of the gateway with a small gap included for pedestrian access.

Both the railings and gate are galvanised for long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion and are coated green to blend in and visually enhance the site.

Parks and open spaces are at risk of illegal vehicle entry and trespassing, meaning it is crucial that fencing and gates are secure and fit for purpose. Secure-a-field provides a range of barriers, height restrictors gates and fencing to help protect our open spaces, parks and countryside.
