Locksley School
The Locksley school sits in the heart of south Norwich providing services to much of South Norfolk as well as the city itself. Situated in a former middle school site Locksley benefits from outstanding facilities which were extensively refurbished in 2010.
Unity Education Trust was successful in securing CIF funding to improve the security and safeguarding at their Locksley School Site in Norwich.
Working with education consultant S2E, Secure-a-Field put forward a proposal to secure the front of the site with Defender 358 mesh fencing with gates to match. The design included bespoke cranked posts to enable the new fencing to sit on top of an existing (retaining) wall.
Timescales were tight with some of the work needing to be carried out whilst the students were on site. In addition to the fencing, existing gates and brick piers were removed, then being replaced with new gates to match the fencing. A new pedestrian access was created that included a self-closing gate with an intercom and keypad access. Secure-a-Field provided a full turn-key service for this project including the groundworks, Services, and access control work.
