School Access Gate Installation

Secure-a-Field supplied and installed two semi-automatic pedestrian access gates at Homefields Primary School in Chellaston, Derby, helping improve access control and site security at the school entrance.

The gates were installed at key entry points, with one positioned beside the main entrance gates and the second located near the school reception area to manage visitor access more effectively.

Durable Gates Designed for School Security

Each pedestrian access gate measures 1.2 metres wide by 2.0 metres high and is supported by 80 × 80mm SHS steel posts with welded caps to provide strength and durability in a busy school environment.

The gate leaves incorporate a hydraulic self-closing hinge mechanism, ensuring that the gates close automatically after use to maintain secure access control.

For additional security, the gates are fitted with electronic magnetic locks rated to 600kg break force, helping ensure the gates remain securely closed during normal operation.

Reliable Access Control for School Entrances

To provide secure positioning when required, the gates also feature drop bolts for anchoring in the open position, allowing safe management of pedestrian access during busy periods such as school start and finish times.

The completed installation provides Homefields Primary School with a practical and reliable access control solution, helping staff manage entry points while maintaining a safe and secure environment for pupils and visitors.
